I know it's a Sunday but I couldn't wait to post this. I have decided that every monday is going to be "Muse Monday". This will give me a chance to talk about what is inspiring me at the moment, whatever it may be. I am so excited about what I am currently working on I couldn't wait the extra day. My last post included some mood boards for a collection I was working on based on Dorothy Draper.

Dorothy Draper was one of the first people to make decorating into a business and is responsible for my favorite style of decorating, Hollywood Regency. Her graphic use of black and white,

large floral prints (WERK!),

and bright pops of color have always had me gagging. Her style inspires my living space and so I figured why not develop a collection based on this woman and her legacy. I encourage you to find out more about her. I am currently trying to get my hands on the two books that she wrote, "Decorating is Fun!" and "Entertaining is Fun!" The latter is about being a good hostes, and from what I hear is very dated but still filled with some good advice. Happy New Year

Since I have caught up on my sleep, I'm finally ready to post again. I had a fabulous New Years Eve with my friends here in Savannah at SubZero. Saya, one of my favorite former haunts has been redone and renamed. It was an amazing time and I was surrounded by glittering crystal, and extraordinary amounts of white. Needless to say, I felt rite at home.

I hope that all of you reading had as wonderful of a time as I did! Also, because my skin has been freaking out lately, I am trying some new face products and can't wait to review them for you.
